Remedial works
Where structural repairs are required, PKT can prepare designs, specifications and tender documents, assess tenders and inspect key stages during construction. We can provide certification relating to our agreed appointment. Contractor responsibilities and the roles of other appointed specialists remain separate.
Structural reports
We provide reports on specific structural defects and movement in residential and commercial properties. An initial visual inspection and preliminary report records the accessible observations, considers possible causes and recommends next steps. Further testing, monitoring or opening-up may be needed before the cause or an appropriate repair can be established.
Detailed repair design, specifications and cost assessment are agreed separately where required. Our inspection scope is confirmed before appointment.

- Cracking and differential movement
- Subsidence and foundation problems
- Roof spread and defects in structural support
- Deterioration of masonry, wall ties and embedded structural elements
- Damage following fire, storm, flood or impact
- Structural damage associated with leaking drains or services
- Dilapidation and condition reports within the agreed structural scope.
